The Schoeller spinning mill was founded in Austria over 150 years ago in this traditional world of expert wool processing and use. One of the most innovative spinning and dyeing plants in Europe, it continues to grow its wool knowledge.

Now, as a hundred years ago, wool buyers and business partners purchase and process this wool on-site and transform it in a complex process to create a prized wool yarn. Sport/Loden quality combed spinning and dyeing are carried out using the latest production technologies alongside traditional know-how.

Synergies are particularly important when it comes to dyeing because the Schoeller plant is located on the edge of the Vorarlberg Alps, directly on Lake Constance, which is the largest drinking water reserve in Europe. Sustainable production and dyeing processes are therefore the top priority. This is one of the many reasons why all dyes meet the stringent Eco-Tex and Bluesign requirements and, if necessary, are dyed according to even more stringent GOTS or EU Ecolabel criteria. Nature, tradition and know-how have given life to a unique yarn with substantial natural traits and unique character, also safeguarding animal welfare.
